The SUFI organisation is a registered charity and aspiring social enterprise.

The work is community based and aims to develop its neighbourhood by providing support services to engage with vulnerable individuals at risk of exclusion and all forms of criminal activity.

Through regular sessions of spiritual uplifting exercises SUFI promotes community cohesion by including members of the wider Bristol

community, to help with the reduction of crime and anti-social behaviour and the development of more successful futures for all peoples.

SUFI provides informal support, such as mentoring/coaching and accessing role models within the community. SUFI seeks to empower

individuals and groups of people by providing these groups with the skills they need to affect change in their own communities, by developing young leaders of tomorrow.

SUFI works closely with Bristol City Council’s community development team, and Avon and Somerset Constabulary in proving advice and guidance and also training for the general public. The charity also operates an interfaith arm, where its members have regularly been invited to events and organised many themselves attracting hundreds of people from all walks of life, to participate in some spiritual uplifting activities. They are highly praised by all faith groups, local councillors and the Lord Mayor.

The long term objective of SUFI is to aid people in recognising and developing their abilities and organise themselves to respond to problems and needs which they share. It supports the establishment of strong communities and the soon to be SUFI centre will promote social justice and help improve the quality of community life.
